There comes a time to call it quits. I find that I no longer enjoy flying, probably because of my eyesight (reduced) and diminishing reflexes. So before I do any damage to myself, my equipment or others, I quit.
However, I am still building my last plane which, if all goes according to plan, will be ready to be test flown by any daring young, or not so young man, in the club. If succesful, it will also go up for sale. I have renewed my MAAC for 2010 and will one last time renew my membership in WIMAC. If any of you worry what I am going to do with my time, do not despair. I will be building a radio controlled tugboat. Boating is probably a better hobby for an aging gentleman.
I have made a list of everything I want to sell, four airplanes with radios etc and some miscellaneous items. If anyone is interested, the prices are too low to be believed. Contact me and I will send you a detailed list (Word document)

Thats very sad Paul, I do hope you will still enjoy the RC hobby in what ever you choose to do.
I also I'm starting an eyesight problem and being followed, I just hope it wont get worst too early.

I am sorry to hear that you won't be able to continue flying Paul. Regardless, we hope to still see you out at the field - socializing with friends is a big part of the hobby.

A tugboat sounds like a good asset for any club that runs the occasional float-fly.
