I do not take credit for this, just copied a guy on RR that did it and I find it a great way to keep track of your lipo charges when you don't keep a proper log book.

Made it from a label sheet and fitted as much as I could.

I have made about 3 sheets which is way too much so anyone that wants some, I will provide once I am at the field.

Notice on the top, I added a way to keep track of proper charging. You can use different color markers for under or over 80% recharges. We all know that running them at about 80% capacity is the suggested norm for a long healthy battery life.
Please excuse the horrible quality pics. Could not find the camera. Iphone was all I had and bad lighting...

I have used a similar system since about 2005 when I got my first 10S (2x 5S) because I wanted to know how much they really cost per flight. One puffed a cell on flight 75 so it was modified into a 4S for a smaller plane and a 5S to be matched with another similarly old batterie. My oldest pack as now almost 200 flights. There is no more room on the sticker :-) It's not as powerfull as the newer packs but good enough for practicing low power maneuvers. That pack has seen discharged way past 80% a few times and it has run very warm also. I always balance them when charging so it may have helped.

The sticker is very usefull to track the batterie life. Good idea to mention it here.

Xavier: When the charges surpass the numbers on the sticker, I simply stick another on top, slightly overlapping so I can still see a bit of the old sticker underneath and start adding charges again..:)
I can't seem to be able to keep a proper log so I think this will help me at least keep track of my batteries.

Pete: Both programs fit in one DVD. I might be able to fly on Sunday afternoon if weather and wife permits. I don't know yet if we have any plans.
It's a good thing you reminded me. I had completely forgotten.
I suggest you send me an email at
mariokalfopoulos@gmail.com Saturday evening to remind me again just in case.
I always check my email everyday and evening.

If only now I could find an easy way to keep track of each of my helicopter flights, it would be great. I really don't have the patience to write down in a book all my activities. I see guys on the forums tracking hundreds of flights and admire their patience and persistence.
I just want to fly !!!! :):):)

Why would you not put a sticker on the side of the heli and keep track of the flights ? :-)

Ha...good one.

I have to figure out a clean spot for the nitro helis since the fumes will slowly destroy it.
it might be difficult though anyway because there is hardly such a space available on a heli frame. Have to think about it a bit but a good starting point.

Thanks.

Hi Mario,

Good idea with the stickers.
Can you spare a couple?
If you have the file, can you send it to me.

Thanks.
Peter D.

Pete, as I said I have plenty. Since I bought the sheets, I did a few anyway.

No reason to do yourself and waste money. Plenty to go around.

No problem, I have about 90 made so far. I'll bring a sheet tomorrow at the shop Billy..

BTW, it's Avery label 5160 and I am using #9 font size in case you are wondering.
Label is 1" x 2 5/8 mailing stickers

I had to experiment with the font size because as you type it does not show actual printing preview and I made a couple that were off. Finally #9 fits nice up to 70 count.

Here is what I did after Mario started this thread. Labels used are
(AVERY 5260). And here is my file, hope it works(use microsoft word) to open it and print from.
