Not yet... but he is close to a decision on the color scheme.,..

He is thinking yellow, just to be original.

Yes it's something good.

No the Harvard is not finish but I did one of the colors. I found the color scheme it's starting to look very nice and no it's not going to be yellow. That's all I'm saying about the harvard.

Something is on the way......

KevinSo you convinced Great Hobbies to stick to their word on pricing and they sold you the Aeroworks Extra 260 35cc.... Grats!

Kevin Rochon

Yes your right Greg and if you check GH web site they lowered the price from 699.99 to 589.99 but since Hiflight rc had it at 578.49 I'm getting it at 548 ;) (that's 25% of the difference, like they advertise on the MAAC mag)

They haven't received it yet I guess next week?

On my new Extra 300 I will have to Hinge the rudder and in a review the guy uses Gorilla glue for the Robart hinges. You have to be carful it foams out ...I know some of you posted about this glue what are the pro and cons?

thanks

I've used it for two of my planes, both the Extra 260 from Hanger 9 and my Aero-Works 260 that used Robert's hinges, no problems so far.

Nothing special with respect to application or use, just take a Q-tip or toothpick and moisten the hinge hole on both parts with water (which causes the foaming reaction). Use some vasoline on the metal hinge parts to keep the glue from messing with the joint area. Put some glue in the hole and a some on the Robert's hinge and join the parts, full deflection of the rudder both ways then set it straight and tape it and wait for it to dry. When it is all dried and expanded, you might need to pick some of the foaming glue around the hinge if you don't wipe it away constantly. It also won't stick very well to the Ultracote so you can use a knife to remove it there too if necessary.. Pretty much same as if you used Epoxy.

The nice thing about Gorilla glue is that it expands so it forms a bubble on the opening (if any) on the inside of the rudder parts.

Is it showing as listed in stock on their website?

You are a lot more patient customer than I would be... After a month I would be expecting daily updates if they have charged my VISA card.

They haven't charged anyting yet. They finally sent me an email they say the distributor is out of stock and the're waiting on Aeroworks who's out of stock too.

They are probably getting it form Hiflight rc which is both dist. and retailler now, but if they had place the order when they agreed to give me the price, Hiflrc had it in stock then. Now I shows out of stock.

I still have some renovation to do and trying to finish the Harvard....so I'll be patient.

Did some more painting on the long breath project f the Harvard it's looking nice (I have to encorage myself). Two more colors(small area) and I can put in the engine and the electronic, everything is prepared for it so shold go fast.

Kevin

I think it was a 22x8 or 22x10 plastic master airscrew.

Well one step forward two step back.....

Last nite I started to remove the masking their was a little bit of bleeding but easally fixed. But I had some intricate masking done with Badger Photo frisket which is a self adhesive transparent plastic and it started to pull the under paint of:eek:

I tried with a heatgun to soften the plastic it went better for a small part but for a bigger one it pull off a lot.

So now I have to patch and repaint and etc.....
