The shafts is ok and the spinner is brandnew. I dont want to sand the spin base so...any tip:confused:
First of all you have to find a Robart Highpoint Balancer (Or make one)
I pretty sure they don't make them anymore
Here is a picture story of how to balance a spinner.
Tools needed:
A High Point balancer (the only way to balance cheap plastic spinners) . Poor quality spinners do not have a center mount. This necessitates the need to do a cantilevered balance.
Dremel tool with burr
Sharpie marker to index the back plate to the cone
How;
Find the heavy spot .
Mark it (x).
Grind on both sides of the heavy spot (o)
re-check, repeat
A balanced spinner will stop at any point 360 degrees (just as a prop will). If it repeat a location it is not balanced. (FYI; a prop that always stops with the blades horizontal is NOT balanced)

Hi,
You can also sand to make an adhesive spot on the opposite side of the heavy
spot and then put a dab of epoxy there. You can re-check and add epoxy
immediately until perfect balance.
Don't be misslead : the spinner may be out of shape (off center) but still be well balanced. The balancer will tell you the truth.
Also I noticed that the Dubro balancer my lack some sensitivity to balance a spinner due to the small diameter of the spinner itself , you can do it but be very attentive. All I mean is it is more difficult than to balance a prop but it is achievable. Have fun !
See you !

Make some marks on both part of the spinner (engrave) to make sure you always put it together the same way: just like it was on the balancer.

To build a good balancer is not hard......a couple of small bearing's and some old AOL disk's should do!

No need to build one
Here is the one I use

It is probably just the newer version than the one Hank showed you on the first picture.
I am positive the Modelist in Laval can order one for you if not already in stock.
