F3A team shirts

If anyone is interested to support the F3A team for the trip to Potugal this coming summer, I have T-shirts for sale. They were paid by Icare-rc and all the money from the sale go to the team. I will have some with me everywere I go normaly.

This is a great idea Shawn. I will tell the team about it. It maybe easier to sell t-shirts than just asking for money from clubs in Canada.

I had the t-shirts tonight at the indoor and they are 7 new happy owners. Thanks guys. I will have them again next week.

Hi guys,

I wanted to post this earlier butI have been very busy lately.

The world championnship in Portugal was this week. The Canadian team have been there a week in advanced to get used to the place and practice together. All 3 pilots were happy with most of their flights in the contest. The team leader Chad Northeast did very well by getting 13th after the preliminaries that selected the first 30th for the semi-final. He did well in the semi-final and finished in 16th place. Dezso Vaghy was 63th and Dan Venables 80th out of 101pilots.

Christophe Paysant Leroux from France with his funny looking airplane (Axiome) won the event 'easily' by winning 3 of the 4 preliminaries round, both semi-final rounds and at least 2 of the 4 final rounds. This is his 5th world championnship. The final results are not posted yet but Quique Somenzini and Jason Shulman were in the fight for 2nd place with a few other pilots.

The world championnship was this week in Portugal.

The Canadian team is classified 16th out of 37 country. The best Canadian was Chad Northeast in 16th. He was 13th after the preliminaries but dropped a few spot after the semi-final. The first 30 were doing the semi-final. The other 2 canadian are 63th for Dezso Vaghy and 80th for Dan Venables.

Christophe Paysant Leroux from France won for the 5th time with the best score in 9 of the 10 rounds. (3/4 prelim, 2 semi-final, 4 final). Not only that but his brother Benoit is 2nd. That means that France beat Japan by one point for the team championship. USA is 3rd.
